So many changes since I last updated here
Coco's Weather Watchers are all settled in their new homes and my darling Lucia gave birth to a litter of five adorable babies. They were given the theme of a Night at the Opera, with Don Giovanni and Rigoletto (the boys) and La Boheme, La Traviata and Madame Butterfly (the girls) Sadly however, when the kittens were 11 weeks old Lucia became very ill and was diagnosed with lymphoma. She was sadly put to sleep on July 3rd 2020. My heart was broken after all that she had survived as a kitten. She was a wonderful mummy to her babies and is very much missed.
After losing Lucia I decided to keep one her daughters and La Traviata, a lilac point, is staying with us. Hopefully she will become a mum herself next year.
Coco turned five years old on July 25th and will be retiring from breeding after one more litter later in the year.

The time seems to be flying by
Coco had four delightful, chocolate point kittens - the Weather Watchers litter, - on November 6th 2019. Two boys and two girls who have all found homes and will be leaving in early February.
Little Lucia, my only survivor from Daisy's litter last year, is now 11 months old and will be off to stud tomorrow (28/01/2020) so fingers crossed for a successful outcome.

Daisy's story
Daisy's pregnancy progressed well and her kittens were born 25th February 2019. The labour and delivery were textbook, however Daisy had no interest what-so-ever in her kittens. The first was still born, three more followed but she made no attempt to clean them or care for them. Later that day she also passed an undeveloped kitten. I hand fed the kittens and kept trying to get her to care for them. Sadly we lost two but one little girl clung on. After almost two weeks, Daisy decided she could take care of her baby, going from total neglect to carrying her around everywhere, to the extent that she developed a rather sore neck.
At the point of writing this update, baby is 8 weeks old and while doing well she is very small for her age.
Daisy will be spayed and retired from breeding as I cannot take the risk of her rejecting another litter. It remains to be seen if baby (as yet un-named) will carry on the line but if she does not grow I think not.
Darling Daisy is expecting her first litter in February
